- Contribute to the implementation of individual support plans and additional provision where required.
- Support pupils to develop independence, confidence and positive relationships.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and understands the importance of supporting the whole child, both academically and emotionally.
The successful candidate will have:
- A nationally recognised Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as NNEB, BTEC Level 2 or CACHE Level 2.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Recent experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A calm, positive and professional approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Experience of supporting children with SEND, communication difficulties, autism, additional needs or individual support plans would be advantageous.
