This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious school and make a real difference to students’ learning and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, contribute to lesson delivery, and play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning. Your work will support both academic progress and the wider development of students’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, and a positive, proactive approach to supporting young people. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to maintain high expectations and a supportive and inclusive school culture.

- Has experience of supporting students in a school or similar setting (desirable).
- Can build positive relationships with students and encourage engagement in learning.
- Is able to support individuals and small groups, adapting to different learning needs.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with staff, students, and parents where appropriate.
- Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
- Is confident using IT systems (e.g. Arbor, Microsoft Office) to support learning and school processes.
- Wants to be part of a school that is transforming lives through education.

The Ravensbourne School is a large and truly unique 11-19 school, set in the heart of Bromley. There are 1500 students, with 440 students in Post 16. Some of the buildings are Grade II listed, dating back to 1911 whilst other additions are more recent.
