Carleton Rode Primary School is a welcoming and nurturing village school at the heart of its community. We are looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This fixed-term position will involve providing tailored support for a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive both academically and socially.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of supporting children with SEND.
  • Has knowledge of, or experience in, using de-escalation strategies to support children effectively.
  • Demonstrates strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Is positive, flexible and enthusiastic, with a good sense of humour.
  • Can build strong relationships with children, staff and families.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Is committed to helping all children feel happy, safe and successful.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm, 30 hours per week.
