Teaching Assistant 1 to 1 job summary

Fixed term initially until August 2025

15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Grade D - £24,027 to £24,404 FTE (£8,172.06 to £8,300.28)

Work pattern: Initially 3 hours per day from 10:30 – 1:30 with the possibility of increasing to 4 hours per day 10am – 2pm Monday to Friday

Start Date: as soon as possible

Peakirk cum Glinton C.E. Primary School, is a small family school with great children and a hardworking and caring team of staff who are dedicated to the inclusion of all pupils.

We are looking for an experienced applicant who shares our inclusive ethos, has a child centred approach and is sensitive to the needs of pupils. We are seeking a practitioner with experience of ASD who is able to motivate, work with and care for an individual pupil with an EHCP in EYFS, in order to enable us to meet their specific needs. We would be particularly keen to meet applicants that have a medical background to enable us to support the individual’s inclusion in the setting. The successful candidate will:

Have experience of adapting the curriculum to meet an individuals need

Be highly organised and have excellent time management skills

Be able to work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo but have the ability to use their own initiative to support individuals

Have excellent inter personal skills that motivate and inspire children

Be highly motivated, have a positive attitude and be prepared to develop relationships with challenging children

Be educated to GCSE Level or equivalent(GCSE A-C in English & Maths)

Be willing to provide intimate and general healthcare as required
