Teaching Assistant (1 Year FTC, term time only plus 1 day) job summary

The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Teaching Assistant to join our Catholic primary school at Sacred Heart, Ilkley.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has numeracy and literacy skills grade 4 or above (or equivalent level) and who is:

• Caring, patient and intuitive to the needs of the child to enable them to access the curriculum as designated by the teacher
  
• Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff
  
• Flexible in approach and able to adapt to working with both groups and individual pupils
  
• Willing to help with activities both in the classroom and across the school
  
• Professional, responsible and aware of the need to maintain confidentiality
  
• Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
