Teaching Assistant job summary

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB

  • To support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of small pupil groups and working 1:1 with pupils who have special educational needs, by demonstrating a good standard of practical knowledge and skills.
  • Hours of work are 8.45am - 1.15pm Monday to Friday

    The successful candidate will need to have:

    - Patience, a caring attitude and a desire to nurture children.

    - The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the children across the school.

    - High expectations of all children both academically and socially.

    - A belief in a rounded education, with all areas of the curriculum being valued.
