Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their learning journey?

The Gordon Children’s Academy are seeking a dedicatedTeaching Assistantto join their team. Our Teaching Assistant will play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils’ overall development and academic progress.

Phonics experience is desirable, preferably Little Wandle

Key responsibilities include;

  • Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.
  • Assis with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays.
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.

There may be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs throughout the Key Stages. There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

Experience of SEN children would be an advantage.
