Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their full potential? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our growing team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in the classroom, working under the guidance of the class teacher to implement effective teaching and learning strategies. Beyond assisting with classroom activities, you will contribute to creating a purposeful and supportive environment, promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all. Your dedication will extend to working with children with special educational needs, supporting them through tailored programmes and helping to review and meet individual learning targets. Whether assisting with day-to-day classroom organisation or preparing materials for lessons, your efforts will ensure the smooth operation of the learning environment.

What will you do?
- Act as a role model for pupils, support their learning effectively
- Meet personal needs while promoting independence
- Commit to supporting pupils with special educational needs and contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Encourage pupil interaction and cooperation, ensuring engagement in activities
- Support emotional and social needs and accompany pupils on trips
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
- An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
- Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school

Krishna Avanti Primary School, Croydon is a new school which opened in September 2016 and is the 5th addition to the successful Avanti Schools Trust.
