What skills and experience we're looking for

  • We are looking for someone who can provide interventions and support to our vulnerable pupils and work alongside our SENDCO, to provide pastoral care. The successful candidate will work primarily within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with additional needs but also be part of our Reading Squad who will support the teaching of reading from reception to Year 2. We are a compassionate school who will consider a flexible working pattern for the right candidate.

    The successful candidates must:

  • Have the patience and understanding to work with young children demonstrating outstanding care and support for pupils.
  • Demonstrate willingness to engage in professional development and whole school initiatives.
  • Have the ability to work as part of team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
  • Be willing to complete any statutory training.
  • Be prepared to support with breaktime and lunchtime duties

Coton-in-the-Elms C of E Primary School is a beautiful village school with approximately 140 pupils on roll, who are superbly behaved. Since September 2023 there has been a new leadership team in place, who have driven school improvement forwards and continued to ensure there is excellent provision for all its pupils.
