Teaching Assistant 3/Cover Supervisor - Behaviour - West Site - LU2 7JL job summary

Richmond Hill is a school for primary aged pupils with severe and complex difficulties which include those on the autism spectrum. We are in a period of expansion and our new additional site opened in September 2016.

We currently have 275 pupils on roll, grouped into 33 classes according to age & ability and across 2 sites. 18 classes are at our Crawley Green Road Site and the remaining 16 classes at Sunridge Avenue.

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant 3/Cover Supervisor - Behaviour who will take an active part in all aspects of the curriculum and enjoy assisting our pupils to learn and make progress. We have a fun approach to the curriculum and celebrate enthusiastically each child’s small steps of achievement. The successful candidate will be expected to cover classes using planning provided.

Knowledge of a range of special needs would be useful; however we do provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. You will require NVQ3 or an equivalent qualification with good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Hours are 33.50 per week. Monday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Tuesday - Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm

Attendance to 3 training days and Parents evenings are required
