About us and the role
Step into a role where every day brings the chance to inspire, support and make a real difference. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting pupils one-to-one, in small groups and across the whole class.
From helping children grow in confidence and independence to assisting with lessons, safeguarding their wellbeing and even leading the class during short-term teacher absences, this is a hands-on role at the heart of school life.

What will you do?
- Act as a role model for pupils, support their learning effectively
- Meet personal needs while promoting independence
- Commit to supporting pupils with special educational needs and contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Encourage pupil interaction and cooperation, ensuring engagement in activities
- Support emotional and social needs and accompany pupils on trips
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
- An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
- Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school

This school will be the latest in the development of the Avanti Schools Trust who already have several highly successful schools in operation and I am very proud and honoured to have been appointed as the Executive Principal Designate for this new member to our family of schools.
Avanti Meadows Primary School will provide parents and pupils with the highest standards of education and pastoral care.
