Teaching Assistant – 3 Vacancies


Role 1: 22 hours and 30 minutes – Term Time only, (includes inset days) (9am to 1:30pm)

Role 2: 31 hours and a quarter - Term Time only, (includes inset days) (8:30am - 3:15pm)

Role 3: 31 hours and a quarter - Term Time only, (includes inset days) (8:30am - 3:15pm)

Role 4: 31 hours and a quarter - Term Time only, (includes inset days) (8:30am - 3:15pm)

Tudor Grange Primary Academy, Meon Vale sits in the heart of a new housing development at Meon Vale and is a growing school.

We are looking to appoint four highly competent and enthusiastic individuals who are team players, to join our growing school community as soon as possible. The appointments for Roles 1 to 3 will support pupils with an EHCP for their educational, physical and personal care needs. This includes one-to-one activities and in small groups. Role 4 is for a class based Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidates will be required to support teaching staff in the delivery of a quality curriculum in line with the vision and ethos of the school. The roles will require successful candidates to be:

passionate about supporting pupils who have additional needs, through a nurturing approach that enables the pupils to gain a real sense of belonging and develop their independence overtime

highly professional and be able to demonstrate their integrity

awareness of autism and early communication strategies e.g) visual timetable, objects of reference etc

autonomous in their work, following all Academy policies, specifically in relation to safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality

enthusiastic and hardworking, and flexible in their approach

knowledgeable about the primary national curriculum

capable of supporting the delivery of an individualised curriculum to meet the requirements of the EHCP under the direction of the class teacher

capable to adapting activities, taking account of the interests of the pupil

excellent users of the English language both orally and in writing

committed to our children’s progress and success.
