The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work under the direction of teachers to support pupils in their learning, development, and wellbeing.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and is eager to make a positive difference to their lives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom, including those with additional needs.
- Encouraging independence, inclusion, and achievement for all pupils.
- Assisting with learning activities, resources, and classroom management.
- Supporting teachers with planning, assessment, and pupil progress.
- Promoting positive behaviour and building constructive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working with children or young people (essential).
- Supportive, approachable, and able to build strong relationships.
- Knowledgeable in literacy and numeracy (NVQ Level 2 equivalent).
- A team player with a genuine commitment to helping all students achieve their potential.
- Understanding of how to support children with additional needs (desirable).
A relevant qualification for Teaching Assistants (e.g. NVQ Level 3) is required.
