Teaching Assistant job summary

You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our academy and on the lives of the students we serve. The role will also involve to the ongoing development of the department and the wider school community. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is dedicated to high standards, and who will play an active part in the continued success of the school.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely and under the guidance of teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing targeted intervention, guidance and appropriate challenge to help students achieve their full potential.

You will support a diverse range of learners, including pupils with SEND and those with English as an additional language (EAL), helping them to access learning whilst promoting confidence, independence and resilience. Working alongside your colleagues, you will contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive and succeed.

You will contribute to maintaining a calm, focused learning environment and support effective behaviour management. Your patience, adaptability, and proactive approach will help ensure all pupils can achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
