What skills and experience we're looking for

Stanford in the Vale CE Primary School wishes to appoint a motivated and inspirational Teaching Assistant with the confidence and enthusiasm to ensure our pupils achieve academic success whilst enjoying their time at our school. We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our thriving one form entry school in a beautiful village location in The Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire.

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who:

• Is confident to supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety, help with personal care and access to learning activities
• Can use strategies and resources, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals
• Can undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses
• Has a secure knowledge of a range of behaviour management strategies to ensure our pupils have consistent boundaries
• Can provide the necessary pastoral care to enable children to feel secure and happy
• Can administer routine tests and undertake routine marking of pupils’ work
• Can provide clerical/admin. support e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, administer coursework etc.
• Loves their job, showing passion and taking a pride in everything that they do
• Works well in a team, enjoying learning and collaborating with others to promote excellence throughout the whole school as well as in their own classroom
• Is motivated to do their very best
• Is able to maintain good, professional relationships with parents and multi-agency networks to enable every child to be the best they can
• Is committed to ensuring that excellence, inclusion and challenge are at the heart of everything we do.
