Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for people who are kind, brave, keen to learn and who will build supportive relationships with adults and children in our community. Whether you have worked as a TA before or not, if you can demonstrate an understanding of children, a thirst for learning and an ability to rise above challenges (and importantly to celebrate successes together) then we would welcome you into our team.
You may have experience of working with children with SEND but this is not essential. The opportunity to join our team has arisen due to a need in EYFS and Key Stage 1, but we welcome applications from anyone who can offer something special to any of our children, and a willingness to work across school is essential.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our dedicated staff to support the learning needs of our amazing children. Every child at St Joseph’s is unique, and we are committed to helping each one flourish.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and wants to make a difference
- Is keen to develop their skills within a school setting
- Thrives as part of a happy, hard‑working team
- Shares our high expectations and commitment to doing the very best for every child
- Is willing to learn — training and support will be provided
Our Values
At the heart of St Joseph’s is kindness. We are looking for someone who can embrace and model our values, contributing positively to our caring school community.
Why Join St Joseph’s?
- A supportive, joyful team
- A strong sense of community
- A commitment to professional development
- A chance to make a meaningful impact every day
If you believe you could be the right person for our team, we would love to hear from you.
