Teaching Assistant job summary
A Teaching Assistant is required to provide in-class support, group intervention and one-to-one learning. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to support both the staff and children, challenge barriers to learning and ensure the achievement of each pupil is maximised. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents both verbally and in writing. Teaching Assistants are an essential part of our pupils’ education and so they are expected to have a good level of education themselves. Experience of working with children with EHCPs or on the SEN register would be an advantage, as would a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
This vacancy is available for up to 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus INSET days. This vacancy is a fixed term contract to support a pupil with an EHCP.
The successful candidate must be willing to attend and complete any necessary training.
