This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally, within a caring, inclusive and ambitious school community.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences and provide support that enables all children to succeed. You will help create a positive classroom environment, support pupils with additional needs, monitor progress and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teaching and learning activities across the curriculum
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to maximise progress
- Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress
- Assisting with classroom preparation, displays and resources
- Supporting educational visits and wider school activities
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Has GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
- Has at least one year's experience working in a primary school
- Can demonstrate a positive impact on children's learning and wellbeing
- Has strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Is committed to safeguarding and supporting all children to succeed
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
