What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to support our students' educational journey. Your day-to-day assistance will be crucial in providing the help and encouragement students need to thrive in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide support for all students, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities, including therapy, such as SALT and OT.
  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of students’ work.
  • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to student responses, including supporting therapeutic intervention.
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Key Requirements:

  • Working with or caring for children in any setting
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to relate well to both children and adults.
