Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Tywardreath School, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant. Tywardreath School is in a beautiful, rural, village setting in the heart of a supportive and active community. Our aim is to foster independent and curious learners who are able and willing to make a positive contribution to our community and society.The position will include working closely with our Teaching team to provide support and care to pupils in both KS1 and KS2. The role will include working alongside other team members so good communication skills are vital.
There are three roles potentially available:30 hours per week Monday - Friday Term Time only - £16,728.4215 hours per week Monday to Friday (mornings) Term Time only - £8,364.2128.25 hours per week Monday to Friday Term Time only - £15,752.60Please indicate in your additional information which role you would like to apply for or if you would like to be considered for any of the roles.
About You:We are looking for a self-motivated, caring and dedicated adults who will take a pro-active role in the support of the education and social and emotional development of our pupils.Ideally you will have previous experience of working within Primary school settings and and believe in giving every child the opportunity to be the best they can be. Ideally you would be highly motivated, patient, good humoured and flexible.

We know that children are far more likely to succeed when staff and parents work together to support children with their learning. We therefore aim to develop a close co-operation between home and school. We offer to meet formally and informally through the year and through each phase of the children’s schooling with events such as ‘meet the teacher’, open afternoons, drop-in sessions, parent consultations as well as a myriad of community events. These community events are organised and run by our fantastic PSA and they provide the more informal opportunities to get involved with school-life.
