Part time: The working hours for this role are expected to be 09:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 01 June 2026. There is an option for a 30-minute lunch break plus a 30-minute MDSA role. Or, a 50-minute unpaid lunch break. This will be discussed at the interview.

What skills and experience we're looking for

North Bradley CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and positive Teaching Assistant. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

In this role, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to support the delivery of the National Curriculum by clarifying instructions, adapting learning activities and helping pupils to stay focused and complete their work. The role involves providing targeted support in key learning areas such as language, reading, spelling, handwriting and presentation, while developing strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with EHCPs or additional provision plans. You will motivate, encourage and build positive relationships with children, supporting their self‑esteem, inclusion and behaviour both in and out of the classroom. Daily duties include preparing and maintaining learning resources, supporting English and mathematics lessons, supervising pupils during activities, outings and when providing cover supervision as directed. The postholder may also be required to provide personal care, assist with physical needs, and carry out therapy exercises following professional guidance. Effective communication with teachers, parents and other professionals is essential, alongside promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and maintaining a safe, well‑organised learning environment.
