Teaching Assistant job summary

Are you passionate about supporting students to reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons to meet the needs of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Work closely with students’ educational teams and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies that support behavioural integration and learning within the school environment.
  • Support staff in managing challenging behaviours, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Implement agreed learning activities using strategies in liaison with teachers, helping pupils achieve their next steps in learning.
  • Partner with other adults involved in the educational process, liaising with external professionals and parents/carers, and taking the initiative to establish links when necessary.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional well-being, reporting concerns to teachers as appropriate.

Actual Salary: £21,428 - £22,471
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Term time only plus 5 days – 39 weeks
