Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at Edgar Wood Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to support students aged 11-16, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, achieve their potential and thrive both academically and personally.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCo and other professionals to provide high-quality classroom support and targeted interventions for students with SEND, SEMH needs and other additional learning needs. You will play a key role in promoting inclusion, independence, confidence and achievement, ensuring every student can fully access the curriculum and school life.
This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the academy. Following our recent Ofsted inspection, Edgar Wood Academy has successfully improved from Requires Improvement to Expected Standard, reflecting the hard work, dedication and ambition of our staff team and wider school community.
