Moorside High School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and forward-thinking learning community.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of our teaching and SEND teams to support pupils both in the classroom and in intervention settings, including those with additional needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping students engage with their learning, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students in class, especially those with SEND, to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Assisting teachers with the preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation.
- Encouraging positive pupil behaviour and helping to build a safe, inclusive environment.
- Working with small groups or individual students to deliver targeted interventions.
- Supporting students’ social and emotional development.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification or has relevant experience.
- Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Is proactive, flexible, and passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Has experience supporting students with additional needs (desirable).
