Teaching Assistant job summary

Netheravon All Saints Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join its welcoming and vibrant team on a permanent basis, starting September 2025.

Working Hours: Part Time (30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8.45am until 3.15pm – includes 30-minute lunch break – 39 weeks, includes Teacher Training Days)

We are a caring single form entry primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the village of Netheravon, Wiltshire, we have strong links with our local community and Netheravon All Saints’ Church. Our central values of love, kindness, respect, trust and determination sit at the heart of our school community and, paired with our high expectations for behaviour, help us to promote the full potential of all. Our staff encourage pupils to aim high and help them to develop their unique talents and skills through a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum. In 2023 we retained our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and are proud to be part of Acorn Education Trust, which has provided exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.

As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO.

  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;

  • Has a positive and flexible attitude.
