We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and flexible Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and inclusive primary school team.

This is an exciting dual role for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting learning across the school and confidently leading classes when required.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils’ learning in class, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis

  • Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of engaging lessons

  • Help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

  • Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities across the primary age range

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Ensure a safe, calm, and productive learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with children in a school or educational setting

  • Is confident supervising a class and managing behaviour effectively

  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is adaptable, organised, and able to use their initiative

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to display patience, enthusiasm, energy, good humour, flexibility and reliability. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
