Teaching Assistant Apprentice job summary
Deanwood Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teaching Assistant Apprentice, to start with immediate effect.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice to support the learning, development and wellbeing of our children in the Early Years provision. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in working with young children, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop their skills through on-the-job training and study. Experience of working with children is not essential, although any voluntary, work experience or childcare-related experience would be advantageous. An interest in supporting children with additional needs would also be welcomed.
This is a fixed term role, Term Time Only role. You will be paid a pro rata salary of £11,336 per annum on the Apprentice National Minimum Wage. The salary is reviewed annually in April in line with the nationally agreed salaries.
The working pattern will consist of 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30, with a 30-minute unpaid break each day, as well as allocated study time outside of work for the completion of apprenticeship coursework.
The successful candidate will undertake on the job training alongside studying for a Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assisting & Learning Support.
