Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our school.

Duration: Fixed-term 16 month contract

Workplace: Rivington & Blackrod High School, Rivington Lane, Rivington, Bolton BL6 7RU

Working Hours: 30 hours per week Mon-Fri, term-time plus 5 days, 8:30am – 3:15pm

Salary:  £6 per hour, which equates to £8,028 for working term time only plus 5 days (the salary is paid evenly each month over the whole year)


Overview:


This is a 16 month fixed-term employment contract which will allow you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant whilst receiving valuable, practical work experience in a school.

You will work towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification across a duration of 16 months. All course / assignments will be completed online via Smart Assessor Platform. You will have an allocated tutor through our external apprenticeship provider, LMP Education, who will support you throughout the apprenticeship, along with support from the school.  


This role is an ideal foundation for anyone considering a career either as a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Teacher. You will be based in a classroom environment and the main focus of your role will be providing support to teaching staff and students in a variety of ways.
