Teaching Assistant - BA (Hons) in Primary Education job summary

We're thrilled to announce a fresh collaboration involving our Trust, the University of Buckingham, and Anspear, providing an exciting chance to enroll in a degree program while simultaneously holding a paid position.

The BA (Hons) in Primary Education offers primarily online study, utilising your practical experience and reflections by blending degree learning and assessment with your daily practice. You will work in a paid Teaching Assistant position within the Trust while completing your studies at your own pace.

This course requires considerable drive, ambition, and strong motivation as it occurs outside your work hours. Dedication to regular reading and writing is essential, demanding a significant weekly time commitment.

The annual cost of the course amounts to £5,000 for three years, totaling £15,000, which you can cover initially through a student loan if necessary. Payment occurs in instalments after completing your studies and commencing earnings above the threshold. This method allows for significant savings of over £12,000 compared to conventional pathways offered by other universities.

Upon completing the 3-year course successfully, you have the option to proceed to a 12-month program for achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), culminating in a 3-month End Point Assessment (EPA). The Trust fully funds both the course and EPA. Upon obtaining QTS, graduates can commence teaching. The Trust would love to consider you for a teaching position at this point.

For further details and to explore this opportunity, please refer to the attached documents and submit your application online.

You will:
Not have a university degree already
Ideally have A*-C/levels 9-4 in GCSE (or equivalent) for English, maths and science.
Ideally have 3 A-levels or equivalent.
Pass an interview with the Learning Provider, following the Trust confirming your employment.
Be determined and organised.
Be proactive, use initiative and take personal responsibility for all your coursework.
Commit to completing a 25 hour online introduction to University study course, as well as the course itself over 3 years and the following 12 + 3 months course leading to QTS.
Wish to stay with the Trust as a teacher after successfully completing the learning.
