Are you kind, patient, and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential? We are looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant for the new academic year to work primarily in upper KS2.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team, you will support pupils' learning, emotional wellbeing and development through engaging activities tailored to individual and group needs. You'll help create a positive and stimulating learning environment, assist with literacy, numeracy and ICT activities, and encourage children to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with pupils, contribute to their progress and success, and be part of a supportive team committed to providing the very best outcomes for every child. We welcome applications from individuals who are nurturing, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting children of all abilities, including those with additional needs or English as an additional language. Training and professional development opportunities are available, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in education

The school building is spacious, and purpose built with the latest technology including an immersive room, VR headsets, coding robots and a 3D printer.

Badbury Park has a great staff team who are supportive, passionate, and caring. Our aim is to work collaboratively together to nurture and develop every child through carefully planned lessons. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge, and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience of working with primary-aged children, particularly in a Year 5 and/or Year 6 setting.
  • Be able to motivate and encourage pupils to achieve their best.
  • Use a range of effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and support children with differing needs.
  • Foster positive social skills, confidence and independence in pupils.
  • Remain calm, patient and professional in a busy school environment.
  • Show initiative and be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Be willing to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • Act as a positive role model for children and embrace a values-based approach to education.
