- Good knowledge of the English and Maths Curriculum and its application

- Experience in planning and implementing literacy and numeracy interventions programmes

- Able to monitor and assess the pupils’ response to the learning activities

- Able to assist in feedback and assessment as required by the teacher

- Able to provide an appropriate balance of challenge and support; having high expectations of pupils; and developing their independent learning skills

Blue Coat School, founded in 1693, is a popular and successful Voluntary Aided school situated in the town of Wotton-under-Edge. Situated 10 minutes from the M5 and only a short drive from Stroud, Tetbury and Thornbury, our school is within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school site is now 22 years old and is surrounded by the views the area is renowned for.

Our admissions number is 45 and we currently have 315 children on roll organised into ten classes comprising of:-

• 1 x Reception unit
• 3 x Mixed Year 1 & 2 classes
• 3 x Mixed Year 3 & 4 classes
• 1 x Year 5, 2 x Mixed Year 5 & 6
