Teaching Assistant job summary
- Participate in the comprehensive assessment of students to determine those with additional needs who would benefit from personalised provision.
- Act as an academic mentor for groups/individual students where specific support is needed to achieve identified goals.
- Support students’ access to learning using appropriate strategies and resources.
- Support classroom teachers in the implementation of Classroom Support Plans.
- *Work with nurture groups in the school garden setting, to include small gardening projects including encouraging students to take care of our school chickens.
- ^Work with key stage 3 students to support their transition to secondary school and beyond.
