What skills and experience we're looking for

Medina House School, Newport Site

Headteacher: Chris Berry

We're looking for a kind and caring Teaching Assistant to come and work with us at Medina House School's Newport site, and we thought we'd tell you about it ourselves!

At our school, we're a friendly group of children who love learning, exploring and discovering the world around us. We all learn in different ways and sometimes need a little extra support to help us communicate, build our confidence, develop our independence and achieve our goals.

We're looking for someone who is patient, encouraging and ready to understand our individual needs, helping us to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.Someone who believes in celebrating our successes, no matter how big or small, and who enjoys making learning fun, engaging and meaningful.

You'd be working alongside us throughout the school week, supporting us in our learning, helping us develop our independence and joining in with the many activities that make our school such a special place. Every day is different, and there are lots of opportunities to help us grow, learn and succeed.

We're all different, and that's what makes our school such a special place. Some of us communicate in different ways, some of us need support with our learning, and some of us need help to build our confidence and independence. We're looking for someone who will take the time to get to know us, understand what makes us unique and help us to enjoy learning and celebrate our achievements.

The adults here are friendly, supportive and work closely together as a team. They care about each other just as much as they care about us, and everyone is committed to helping children reach their full potential. You'd be joining a school community where relationships matter and where your contribution will be valued.

What the school offers its staff

When you come to work with us, we want you to feel supported too. We'll help you learn all about the different ways we communicate, learn and experience the world. You'll have access to lots of training, specialist SEND development opportunities and the chance to grow your skills throughout your career. As you learn more about how to support us, you'll help us feel confident, successful and ready to take on new challenges.

We'd love you to come and visit us to see what makes our Newport site so special and meet the children and staff who make it such a welcoming place to learn and work.

If you'd like a job where every day is different, where you'll learn alongside us, celebrate our achievements and make a real difference to our lives, then we'd love to hear from you!
