Teaching Assistant job summary
Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference to the lives or our young people?
We are seeking to appoint an additional Teaching Assistant to join our large existing team. The purpose of the role is to assist the classroom teacher in the provision of learning and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills to support a student’s independent learning by explanation and encouragement.
The role could include providing personal care for the student. Please indicate in your application if this is something you would be happy to do. Full training would be provided.
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (5.5 hours per day 8.30-3pm, currently 1 hour unpaid for lunch) term time only. We will also consider applications for working 2-5 days per week.
Salary: Scale 2c Point 3, actual salary £16,236 (FTE £25,829)
