Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at Callow End CofE Primary School. This part-time role is paid at TA2 and is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly, inclusive primary school in a rural setting with 92 pupils.

About the role:

• Support a child with ASD (no behaviour concerns) to access learning and achieve their potential
• Encourage independence and confidence while providing the right level of support
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and families to ensure the child’s needs are met
• Help adapt resources and activities, and contribute to planning and review meetings

The role is for a level 2 TA working from 9.15- 12.15 Mon- Thurs (12 hours per week) (Pupil in year 2 - contract linked to EHCP )

TA2 SCP6 (under 5 years of continuous service)

12 / 37 x 0.8590 x £25989 = £ 7240.40 per annum
