Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (level 2) who, under the instruction & guidance of our wonderful teaching team, can undertake work, care and support programmes to assist in managing the students & classroom, whilst ensuring that every pupil has access to learning and is achieving their full potential. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is enthusiastic about making a difference!
Role is 30 Hours , Term-time only plus 2 inset days
Responsibilities include:
- Attending to the pupils’ personal needs, and implementing related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
- Undertaking programmes linked to local and national learning strategies to support pupils to achieve learning goals, recording achievement & progress and feeding back to the teacher
- Supervising and providing particular support for pupils including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning
- Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans
