Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated individual to support a pupil / pupils with additional needs across the setting. The successful candidate will be required to:


• Establish constructive relationships with the pupil and encourage interaction with others

• To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.

• Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school

• You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion

• Significant experience supporting pupils with SEND and diverse learning needs

• Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff

• Have a proven track record of implementing high quality targeted interventions specifically linked to Communication and Interaction and Speech and Language.

• Display sufficient experience with implementing a total communication environment to support pupils with significant communication barriers and needs.

• Confidently leading interventions, supporting pupils with complex needs, contributing to planning and assessment, and promoting positive learning outcomes across the school

• Contribute to pupil reviews, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and progress reports.
