St Mary’s C of E Primary School is set surrounded by countryside on the outskirts of Radstock near Midsomer Norton. The school was first built in 1901 to serve the community of Writhlington. Since then we have expanded dramatically, doubling in size, creating a single form entry school with spacious, well-resourced learning environments. The school is set in extensive, attractive grounds, which make a significant contribution to our curriculum and after school provision. We have excellent nursery provision for two year and three year olds.

In August 2020, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust.

St Mary’s is a welcoming, positive and happy school community. We are a growing, diverse and inclusive community school, providing exciting, broad and creative learning opportunities for all pupils. Our children are well behaved, happy and eager to learn from all experiences. We have strong links with our local churches and community groups to provide support for our families.

We are a committed, friendly and supportive staff team aiming for excellence for all. We have an experienced leadership team who support high quality professional development. We are looking for applicants with commitment and passion to educating the whole child and maintaining very high standards in teaching and learning.
