Teaching Assistant job summary

Freeman's Endowed Junior CE Academy is a friendly, inclusive, nurturing school with a big family feel, where everyone is treated with kindness, respect and understanding - our children love coming to school every day! We are proud of our close links with St Barnabas School, which is our feeder infant school. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has:

• Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
• Personal commitment to on-going professional development.

Freeman's is a proud member of PDET, alongside 35 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.

Freeman’s Endowed Church of England Junior Academy is a two form entry school of some 240 pupils. The school has a strong Christian ethos and links with the parish church of St Barnabas. Freeman's is part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) and we have a strong working relationship with the Trust and the schools within it.
