Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Scientia Academy . You need to be committed to providing children with exceptional learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment, committed to teamwork, have a can-do attitude with a good sense of humor and be prepared to go that extra mile.

Providing class support, you should be experienced in working with children and adapting and extending learning within a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Working with the class teacher, you will be responsible for providing excellent learning opportunities for all which may require structured small group or 1:1 activities to ensure the curriculum is accessed by all. You should have experience of delivering whole class learning and an ability to bring learning to life so that children have practical hands on learning experiences that foster a real love of learning.

We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and passion for providing the best outcome for all pupils, who:

      Scientia Academy is a purpose built primary school for children aged 3 to 11 years old. The school opened in 2013 and has continued to grow year on year.

      We are now a popular, over-subscribed school, with a thriving nursery which offers 30 hour provision for working parents. We offer Wrap Around Care with a busy Breakfast and Afterschool Club.

      The aim of Scientia Academy is to raise standards of achievement by providing a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children are enabled to become independent, responsible and enthusiastic learners.
