Teaching Assistant - EAL job summary
We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work as part of the Learning Support Team. You will support students for whom English is an additional language. In particular, we require someone who is able to speak Ukrainian and English to a high standard. The hours will be 8.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. with a half hour break for lunch. The successful candidate will have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and good skills in ICT. This would be an ideal experience for a graduate looking for a career in teaching.
You will work with EAL students to help them adjust to education through the medium of English. The role will involve supporting students with SEND and EAL within their lessons up to GCSE level to ensure that they are able to become successful and independent learners. This role will also involve supporting students with personal care needs.
