What skills and experience we're looking for

We are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Advanced Teaching Assistant – with a focus on EAL at our high achieving 11-18 academy in Wakefield – Outwood Grange Academy. We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning. You will be working within a team of friendly, supportive and approachable colleagues as part of the inclusion team to support students in small groups.

The successful candidate must have Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, and possess strong IT skills, be a good communicator, approachable and have a positive attitude towards staff and students.

This post will be attractive to colleagues looking to develop their practice in a school where everybody is recognised as a learner. Due to the nature of the position, we are looking for someone who has strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
