As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant within our team, you will not just be providing classroom support; you will be a collaborative partner in capturing that morning curiosity and turning it into learning success throughout the school day.

Working under the guidance of our teaching and senior staff, you will implement tailored support programmes that directly enable pupils to access the curriculum and build long-term independence. Whether you are helping a child navigate a complex math problem or guiding a small group outside the main teaching area, or working with a child with additional needs, you are key to maintaining our orderly, purposeful, and collaborative classroom culture.
What You’ll BringExperience with Children: Proven experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age, with a preference for those who have supported individuals with SEND.
Core Academic Skills: Strong mathematical and English communication skills to confidently support learning delivery and feedback.
Technical Literacy: Ability to make effective use of basic ICT packages to support classroom learning activities.
Professional Mindset: A collaborative approach to teamwork, an understanding of classroom boundaries, and the capacity to evaluate your own learning needs.

We are a popular primary school in the Oxfordshire town of Carterton, close to RAF Brize Norton. Visitors to our school often comment on the calm and friendly atmosphere, and our children are happy and enjoy their learning.
