Level Two Teaching Assistant - up to 32.5 hours per week
Working hours: Monday to Friday, core school hours (term-time only)
Actual Salary: £19,463 - £20,086 (Level 2 Teaching Assistant) Meridian Trust Support Salary Scale, Grade 5 (Points 5-7) based on 32.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level Two Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at The Lantern Primary School in Ely. As a Level Two Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our SENDCo team and class teachers to provide high quality support for pupils who may have a range of additional needs. You will enjoy making a valuable difference to learning and progress, delivering targeted interventions and supporting inside and outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt teaching resources to meet individual pupil abilities and be fun, creative and innovative in approach to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible to the Headteacher.

The ideal candidate:
Will possess GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
Will have achieved a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Will have experience of supporting pupils with SEND needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social and emotional needs
Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
Can be adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on their feet!
Have an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
