Are you a nurturing, proactive, and empathetic individual with a passion for helping children thrive? We're seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Patient and understanding: Able to connect with children and support their diverse needs.
  • Proactive and adaptable: Ready to take initiative and adjust to various classroom situations.
  • A strong communicator: Capable of building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Committed to safeguarding: Dedicated to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work directly with teachers to support learning and provide vital assistance to pupils and staff. This role involves both general classroom support and, at times, focused 1:1 assistance for designated pupils. Your primary goal will be to empower students to learn independently and ensure all pupils are included and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupil understanding and independent learning: Work with individuals or small groups, clarify instructions, and foster inclusion.
  • Assist with classroom management: Help maintain focus and positive behaviour, under teacher supervision.
  • Support emotional well-being: Be a caring presence, reporting any concerns to the teacher.
  • Prepare learning environments: Handle resources, displays, and contribute to a safe space.
