Experience
* Experience of working with children from 3-7
* Experience of working in the Early Years
* Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language
* Knowledge of SEND
* Use of behaviour management strategies

* Working knowledge of national / foundation stage curriculum

As a teaching assistant, you will be passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for children and giving them every opportunity to succeed, whatever their barriers may be. Elmwood is a school where every child is respected and treated as an individual, with no limits placed on their learning – just opportunities to continually improve. We do not ‘label’ children or group them by perceived ‘ability’; we will instead give all children equal opportunities to challenge themselves through the range of tasks and activities presented to them – empowering children to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning.

Elmwood Infant and Nursery School is a large, four-form entry school with a 52-place nursery. We are located a short walk away from the centre of Croydon and serve a diverse community, with over 50 different languages spoken by our children, families and staff.
