Teaching Assistant EY, KS1 and KS2 job summary

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will:

Undertake specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher

Have high expectations and encourage the participation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school, and enable pupils to become more independent learners.

Work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Can build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and consideration

Value and promote the wellbeing and the school’s safeguarding culture.

Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment

Promote the inclusion, independence and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom, employing strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self reliance.

Be flexible and enjoys working with a variety of children across the age ranges

Be motivated and is committed to teamwork and maintaining high standards

Be energetic, enthusiastic and has a growth mindset

SALARY: Bucks Pay Range 1B – 2 (depending on experience) £15,818 - £18,673 (approximately) £20,297 - £23,961 (FTE). The salary starting point will depend on experience and qualifications.

WORKING PATTERN: The working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate. The role is permanent and full time. 34 hours a week: Monday 8.30am – 5.00pm, Tuesday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm (1/2-hour lunch break)
