What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a caring, professional and effective Teaching Assistant to work in our Reception class.

You will need to demonstrate that you:

  • Have GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics or English or equivalent qualification
  • Have previous experience of supporting children in EYFS

  • Have the skills to place pupil learning at the heart of all your practice.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others
  • Have the ability to set appropriate and challenging targets for yourself and others
  • Have the ability to make and take decisions both individually and as part of a team.

Parson Cross CE Primary is a single form entry Church of England primary school in the north of Sheffield. There are currently 208 children in our school and we have seven classes from Reception to Year 6.

At Parson Cross, children are at the heart of all we do, and we understand that children learn best when they are happy and secure. Therefore, we get to know our children and families very well and work together to ensure every child succeeds.
