The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with SEND
  • Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Assist with the delivery of learning activities and intervention programmes
  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including those with autism
  • Help create a purposeful, inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider ethos and life of the school

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people succeed and who thrives in a collaborative, caring school environment.

About You

  • We are looking for someone who:
  • Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Has experience working with children of secondary school age
  • Understands child development and barriers to learning
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
