The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will:
- Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with SEND
- Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities and intervention programmes
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including those with autism
- Help create a purposeful, inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider ethos and life of the school
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people succeed and who thrives in a collaborative, caring school environment.
About You
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Has experience working with children of secondary school age
- Understands child development and barriers to learning
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
