What skills and experience we're looking for
To support the continued development of our primary provision, we are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils and teaching staff to help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to support their learning, development and engagement.
• Assist in implementing behaviour strategies that support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Help create and maintain a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
• Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and wider staff team.
Key Requirements
• Experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• An understanding of, or interest in, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
